Bitcoin : Why doesn’t Coinbase support CashAddr?


I went to withdraw my Bitcoin from Coinbase Pro and it kept saying invalid address. I noticed the bitcoincash: prefix and remembered at that moment seeing something on this subreddit a while back about CashAddr and that’s how I was able to figure out how to convert my public address to the legacy address. I feel like because I’m a programmer, I am more technical than most, and honestly, I was a bit skeptical because who knows who made this converter… maybe they put their own address in the legacy address. But anyways, this isn’t really user friendly for grandma… Side note: 0conf wicked fast, faster than subway accepts my credit card chip (y)
