Ethereum update: Dead fan… vram cooling issues?
So I have a pny gtx 1070 xlr8 with a dead fan (second one this month). It’s the fan furthest from the video output ports. Anyways, I read something on bitcointalk about how only running one fan on a dual card gpu could cause the vram to overheat desipite the gpu showing ok temperatures.
Does anyone know how much truth there is to this? Temps are quite ok staying under 70 (only pulling 90w), and while I am going to replace it, I am trying to figure out if this is a shut down card/fix asap issue or not.
