Ethereum update: Rig freezing and crashing after being stable for 5 months
So I’ve been mining on a single RX 580 8GB for about 5 months now, and just in the last couple of weeks, the rig started crashing randomly and freezing. The drivers haven’t changed, so is it possible this is from a windows update? I tried removing the overclock as well and it still crashed after about an hour. Bios is not modded. Any advice would be great!
Edit: I don’t have any risers installed, but thank you everyone for the replies! Going to check for a windows update when I’m back from work first and go from there
Edit 2: I uninstalled the most recent windows update, and the issue is still there. It freezes within 5 seconds now, so I’d go as far as to say the issue is WORSE now. The temps are under control, the card works fine otherwise, just when firing up claymore it freezes. Going to try cleaning inside on the weekend, but I was cleaned not too long ago so I don’t think that’s it. When uninstalling the recent update and restarting, windows automatically installs another update, KB4093105. I tried uninstalling this one and rebooted and it installed KB4093112. Still freezing with both.
