Ethereum update: Spread the Hash!
It looks like 99% of people are mining on the 3-4 top pools and the rest get very little of the hash rate. I run http://www.noobpool.com and we are lucky to be hanging around the 10-11gh range, there are other pools doing much worse.
We are use prop because it’s nice for casual miners to be able to mine without the loss of all their shares if they decide to go play a game or something like with PPLNS. We also combat pool hoppers with an anti hopper code that takes their shares and spreads it out to the rest of the miners.
We charge a 0% fee and have ETH, ETC, and Ellaism to choose from.
Of course luck is a big factor with small pools because you don’t have enough hash power to find blocks fast even when you have bad luck, so when we hit a stubborn one and it takes a couple days, people leave.
It would be great if people could spread the hash rate out to other pools and not just the big 3. When they find a block a minute and other pools find a block every 3-4 days, it’s much too lopsided.
