Ripple update: How to move XRP from an Exchange to offline address on air-gapped PC.
I am a crypto noob and this is probably basic, however no amount of searching has revealed how to do this.
(my googleFU is disfunctional)
I created an offline account using toast wallet. This is on an air gapped pc.
I can see how to move XRP out of the account using a iPhone as there are specific tutorials.
What I do not understand is how my offline toast wallet obtains the information from my XRP transfer out of the exchange. The ledger would be updated.
I am unsure if I need two accounts, one hot on my iPhone and the offline one, or if I can just have the offline account. How does the data transfer? I would rather just have the one account for ease.
If my wallet was to be online, I can understand the account updating, but I would rather keep it offline permanently.
I have not funded the XRP address with 20XRP yet.
I appreciate any pointers for this.
