Ripple update: The XRP Ledger Is Always Working, So Should We

Seeing all these posts about price action and red numbers, really made me wondering, why is it that you’re not trying to do something about it? Or maybe you want to, but don’t know how? Maybe some of you have lost hope?

If we really want to break free from BTC and the rest of the cryptocurrency market, we need to stand tall, wipe the dust of our shoulders and lock arms (but leave me in front of my computer please, I’m busy writing code).

Here’s a few quick reminders:

1. The XRP ledger is always working (Quoting Hodor on this one).

2. Most XRP developers really don’t care about short term price action. We’re in it for the long run. The more ambitious projects take months if not years to finish anyway.

Do you think the roadmap for the coming XRP Toolkit ends in 2019? No, it goes on way beyond that.

Do you think the XRP Tip Bot and other community initiatives ends in 2018?

Do you think Ripple’s roadmap ends in 2018?

Do you think Coil’s roadmap ends in 2018?

Do you think Codius’ roadmap ends in 2018?

Do you think Xpring’s roadmap and investments ends in 2018?

Do you think SBI’s XRP roadmap ends in 2018?

For the long term investors and true hodlers out there, don’t get distracted by the current price action. Not now and not later.

Seeing the enormous interest in commenting on posts about price action, I’m wondering if the majority of you are really interested in helping increase the XRP utility and use-cases, or are simply interested in price action and speculation. Your current actions tell me that the latter is the case right now.

How about everytime you see red numbers, you find an XRP developer and give him/her some feedback, you upvote, you share, you comment, you dig deeper and research, you brainstorm new ideas and talk to developers you come across.

We still have a lot to explore, like Codius smart contracts and XRP ledger custom issuances:

The XRP ledger has tremendous capabilities and we’re just getting started. How many of the available transaction types are you seeing used on a large scale?

Do you think JoelKatz and the other XRP ledger developers included them for fun? We’re just getting started.
