Ripple update: Western Union from Australia and its speed transferring to certain nations

Interesting to note that Western Union from Australia can transfer value in ‘minutes’ to nation such as Chile, France, Germany, Colombia and Brazil, South Africa etc. I gather that this is without using XRapid. Fees are pretty high though for a $1000 transfer, ranging as high as $70. OR, is WU using XRapid hence the speed increase?
