Bitcoin : About Pre-consensus

It’s a bad idea, why?

If you know the results in progress of an election it affects how you vote.

This is partly why the block size debate was so corruptible, no-one wanted to be the person to rock the boat but everyone was thinking the same thing, we just need to do it. The ones that did defect from core got such a huge amount of backlash from the “community” that no-one wanted to follow. Miners should of had 2014 blocks to vote, they would vote with an encrypted message in the blockheader, then publish the private key to establish the results.

Pre-consensus breaks a lot of the game theory of mining, every hash is a vote, it is important to remember this.
