Bitcoin : Any good (brief) resource on inflation vs. deflation?
Discussions on inflation vs. deflation, such as [this](https://np.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/9e6pyu/the_british_pound_is_the_oldest_fiat_currency_in/), often come up in relation to Bitcoin. Yet, I’m still confused as to what is correct and anyone believing the world can run on a deflationary currency is made out to be a fool.
What is the final word on this? Can a deflationary currency never work? It seems to me that a deflationary currency would do well to halt our current consumerist-destroy-the-planet mentality.
