Bitcoin : bitcoind off line mode
I read it’s possible to run bitcoind in an off line mode by requesting it to connect with the localhost on startup. In this way, the wallet functionality can be used to generate addresses offline and sign transactions offline.
A separate online node can then be used to monitor the addresses generated offline using the watch-only feature.
Is this a secure approach? I am only trusting the bitcoin software in this case and no third party.
Any things I should be aware of here?
