Bitcoin : Is Bitcoin script now Turing complete?
I know that Bitcoin script is traditionally thought of as NOT Turing complete. It doesn’t allow loops, which was apparently intentional to prevent shitty code from accidentally creating an infinite loop or from spammers sending infinite loops to bog down the network. I get all of that.

But now I’m seeing/reading things that suggest Bitcoin script has been made Turing complete and can now support smart contracts.

Can anyone shed some light on this topic?

PS – Forgive me if I”m asking a dumb question here, just trying to understand.
