Hi all,
If I could ask you consider for a moment the concept that the blockchain could in fact save the world.
This is purely speculative at this point but I hope you will consider this as a possibility because I have.
The idea:
Let’s think of this like an onion, as is seen with blockchain projects now, new and increasingly complex levels of innovation are layered upon old models to provide increased agency to something at some point.
So here is the base idea, blockchain can spread global trust outside of borders and provide potential opportunities on an international basis where before there were none.
It is possible that with the right level of management, new ‘growth’ centres could emerge providing jobs for those in the locality which in time could evolve to supporting essential services in the areas which need it most.
If service contracts were shared internationally dependent on comparative advantage and the benefits of this work were spread to the stakeholders a new, more robust and socially beneficial system could emerge. Standards could be controlled via the blockchain and incentives distributed due to effective work.
In my opinion scarcity is a trick, people need help now and I need to dash. Very interested to hear if anyone has any ideas around this.
What is the Blockchain?
A block chain is a transaction database shared by all nodes participating in a system based on the Bitcoin protocol. A full copy of a currency’s block chain contains every transaction ever executed in the currency. With this information, one can find out how much value belonged to each address at any point in history.
