Supply chain companies are now moving their processes to blockchain.

According to the article “the blockchain platform has been quietly orchestrating global trade with less reliance on middlemen for a year, resulting in 154 million shipping events in ports around the world, and is now growing at a rate of one million per day.”

“as of today, the platform is emerging from its beta test, is now accepting early adopter applications, and is announcing a new custom smart contract service for executing complex shipping orders with fewer middlemen”

This is awesome news for blockchain and for the people! The reduced costs will (hopefully) be passed to us consumers

What is the Blockchain?

A block chain is a transaction database shared by all nodes participating in a system based on the Bitcoin protocol. A full copy of a currency’s block chain contains every transaction ever executed in the currency. With this information, one can find out how much value belonged to each address at any point in history.
