Blockchain : What if we just solve global poverty?

Blockchain : What if we just solve global poverty?

People are focused on crypto currency as the main use of block chain. But when you think about it, transactional data is probably the most volatile kind of data imaginable.

So what if we just start with the “why” and begin by constructing valuable DApps on a new block chain before a single coin is minted?

We can begin with an existing system such as Reddit where ideas can propagate. Then we could construct a decentralized version of that system with a more robust voting algorithm.

We could introduce education into the mix. People could donate intellectual property to the digital commonwealth. Then we could implement valuable DAOs to coordinate supply and demand (like Uber but for everything in the economy).

Once people see the decentralized markets and democratized exchange of ideas in action, we could begin to issue tokens to early adopters.

We could crowdsource economic and political models until we have something airtight to work with. We could implement Universal Basic Income as well as income ceilings and a commonwealth fund. Once the currency gets launched, it will already have value based on all the contributions made thus far.

I know it may seem overly simplistic, but feel free to flesh this idea out if you see where it’s heading…

Thanks for considering! I welcome criticism. 🙂

What is the Blockchain?

A block chain is a transaction database shared by all nodes participating in a system based on the Bitcoin protocol. A full copy of a currency’s block chain contains every transaction ever executed in the currency. With this information, one can find out how much value belonged to each address at any point in history.
