CryptoCurrency : is this idea possible, a game that resembles real life and runs on crypto instead of a fake ingame currency?

I’ll use this game as an example, Identity. It’s still under development but it’s suppose to really resemble real life. In order to make ingame money, you have to work for it such as being a garbage truck driver,Chef, or selling drugs, etc..

But what if a similiar game were to run on a blockchain (if a game that big can even run on a blockchain?) and the in-game currency is crypto where the users can actually sell the earned currency to other users. Users can use that currency ingame to buy or pay for certain services from other users playing the game. Almost like an actual job except your earning it through the game. I have no idea if this is possible, just a random idea that popped in my head which sounds game changing but there’s probably a lot of variables that wouldn’t make it possible I imagine.
