Ethereum update: Can I use the 16x slot for gpu workstation and use a splitter to fit the other 5 gpus on the board?

Hi, I’ve been running 6 cards on a Gigabyte H110-D3A mainboard for six months. I haven’t found anything conclusive saying the board can handle more than 6 cards. However, my other computer is 8 years old, and I have to use the new mining rig as my new computer. I have two monitors hooked up to the card in the first 1x slot, and they’re doing okay, but I want to plug the card into the 16-lane slot for my own gaming and gamedev needs. The only problem is that this blocks the next outlet, allowing only 4 other cards/risers. Can someone confirm that I can or cannot– 1) Use the 16-lane slot and put a splitter in another 1x slot to fit all 6gpu? 2) Use a splitter on this board 3) run more than 6 gpu at all? Thank you.
