Ethereum update: Different types of 6-pin to SATA? Please help

I have multiple rigs running Nicehash, all 1070s.
Last night my 8gpu rig had a malfunction and half the GPUs wouldn’t power up.
The rig has 2 PSUs

I found out the reason was the 6-pin to 4x SATA cable one of the wires had melted.

I grabbed a replacement from another rig I was working on, but it wouldn’t power up. The GPUs

Long story short, the GPUs are fine, the risers are fine, but the spare 6pin to SATA cable I grabbed from the other rig has a completely different wiring layout from the original one.

Does anyone know why there would be 2 types f 6-pin to sata cables? With different wiring layouts? One has the missing pin in the top right corner, the other has the missing pin in the bottom center.

Does anyone know where I can order more with the missing pin in the top right style?

*****edit

Two important points I should probably add.

1) it was not the data connectors that melted, but the 6-pin that connects to the PSU. The PSU port was also partially melted.

2) if I were to get a replacement for the SATA, I was looking to get a lower gauge (16-14) wires and only put two GPU risers on it instead of 4.

Thanks
