Ethereum update: Help me not burn my house down?
While this isn’t about mining, I think you guys are probably the most qualified to help me answer this question.
I would like to connect [this](http://www.sunix.com/en/product_detail.php?cid=1&kid=2&gid=11&pid=1909#specifications_lg) PCI-e card which converts DP in to USB-C out to a pci-e riser, and power it with [this](https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812123309&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Power+Adapters-_-N82E16812123309&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIiOmo1p-p3QIVDs53Ch0nCQ2QEAQYASABEgLsdvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) molex-to-wall adapter and [this](https://www.amazon.com/Molex-PCI-Express-Video-Adapter-Converter/dp/B00DFZ7HDK/ref=sr_1_cc_7?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1536335397&sr=1-7-catcorr&keywords=6+pin+to+4+pin+molex) pci-to-molex adapter.
Obviously the power draw is going to be *far* less than that of a GPU, but I still want to make sure I’m safe in this setup. What do you think? The whole point of this is to convert a DP signal on my MacBook to a USB-C signal.
Thank you!
