Ethereum update: How is a snapshot taken when downloading the blockchain using Geth’s –fast and Parity’s –warp-fast mode?
I am curious on how a snapshot of the state of the blockchain is taken using these syncing modes.
More specifically:
How can we trust that we did not receive a false blockchain state when taking a snapshot?
Do we cross verify our snapshot across many peers?
