Ethereum update: Modifying BIOS of Radeon RX Vega 64
I have been doing some research over the past few days on overclocking the Radeon RX Vega 64 cards, as I see that they can mine more efficiently than they can do on stock. I am only seeing Windows-based solutions, as it looks to be a non-starter on Linux.
I find Linux to be more stable and easier to use (I have a coding/admin background) so I like to mine on it. I considered modifying the BIOS of the card in Windows, flashing the card, and then booting up in Linux to mine. I have been told that modifying the BIOS of the Vega 64 is impossible due to AMD restrictions. Is this true?
