Ethereum update: Taking over an operation

Let me preface this by saying I’m a newbie to mining. I’ve been investing in cryptos for around a year but haven’t been on the mining side of things. A friend of mine discovered a moral issue (unrelated to mining) for the person who created and has been managing their mining operation, so he asked me if I’d be willing to step in. I like a challenge, so I said sure.

The former manager just sent over the access data and it’s all tied to his personal email account. There are a few different management platforms being used, but I’m working on Hive OS right now. It *looks* like they did all their config through the console, because it’s not possible to set it up through the GUI the way they have – for example, no coin type is specified, which is a required field. So, I’m trying to find where all that console goodness exists. I thought I’d found it in /hive-config/wallet.conf. After editing the file, the wallet address didn’t change though, so I hit “resend all configs” and the file was overwritten.

I suppose I have two questions: First, the one I mentioned above – any help in finding the proper config file to edit the wallet address? Second, what do I need to look out for to protect my friend from their ex-manager, who had a week between knowing he was getting fired and handing over the operation? I know I’ll be working to get accounts moved off of his email address (otherwise even a password reset could be undone and I can’t set up 2FA).

Thank you so much for any help. Off to bed for the night; I’ve been looking at this for five hours and need to get some shut eye.
