Ripple update: Blocks in Ripple

If this doesn’t apply to Ripple’s tech, let me know and I will take this post down…..

A new block that is created is linked to the previous block. So if I have 100 blocks, and I try to attack block 50, blocks 50-100 would be affected, correct (please do correct me if I am wrong)? This isnt an attractive attempt by a hacker, I would presume. But attacking block 99 would be somewhat attractive, as it would only be affecting block 100.

Can someone give me some clarity on all of this?
