Ripple update: Difference between Ripple/XRP and PayPal?
I was in an argument with someone about why Ripple will succeed, and he argued that PayPal already does what Ripple is trying to do, liquidating assets from one place to another in a relatively quick amount of time.

Which leads to my question, what makes Ripple’s vision/function different from PayPal? What makes it *better* than PayPal?
