Ripple update: MobilePay vs The Need For Digital Money

So, I’m from Denmark and we have recently been blessed with an app making it possible to make payments in stores and retail as well as send money to each other, instantly and free of charge, via our smartphone, no matter where you keep your money stacked (in terms of branch of Bank).

The app is called MobilePay and though it doesn’t make the need for Ripple’s solutions to the banking and remittance world any less necessary it certainly does make the need for digital money somewhat obsolete, unless of course there’s something I am overlooking?

PS I am very much in love with Ripple and XRP so this is not a piece of FUD but more so a curious question as to how you see it potentially colide with crypto (at least when used in physical stores etc) and perhaps also to get an outlook into whether this is also available payment methods in other areas of the world?
