Ripple : Speed xCurrent vs xRapid

Ripple update: Speed xCurrent vs xRapid

I know there’s already multiple similar posts… but I keep reading conflicting info (re speed of xCurrent vs xRapid).

Can someone clearly breakdown the speed for cross border (xCurrent vs xRapid)? It was my understanding that xCurrent can settle immediately (better than Swift)… but it could also be much slower depending on the countries/cooridorrs involved. Whereas xRapid is consistent in only taking a couple of seconds no matter the situation. Is this correct?

And yes, I already know the advantage of xRapid eliminating nostro/vostro, which is huge imo. But interested in the speed aspect.

Thanks in advance.
