Ripple update: Who created the new XRP symbol?


I somehow missed the recent events about the contest where the community decided over the new XRP symbol. After some research I wasn’t able to track down WHO actually came up with this design/idea. Can somebody please clear me up? As a graphic designer I’m just very curious to know who was behind this.
