Ethereum update: Windows 10 Update Nightmare
So I updated Windows 10 on my RX580 rig. Bad move. Everything was fine before, happily hashing at 305mhs with 10 cards.
After the update, Phoenix Miner wouldn’t work. Also, a card wasn’t being recognized on the boot screen. So, I updated my B250 Mining bios, and rolled back to the previous Windows version.
Now, 2 video cards are showing in error so I’m down to 8 cards… There was a point last night where I had 9 recognized again, but after a reboot I lost it again.
Any ideas? It was running stable for days with 10 cards no problem… now I’m afraid to mess with I more and lose another card. I tried switching the PSU cable on my HX750i, tried new risers, new usb cable for the risers, different PCI slots, flashed the mobo bios, switched back to stock RX580 bios, still nothing.
Next step maybe to swap them out with cards on my 1000w PSU and see if they work. God damn Windows update god dammit.
