Ripple update: Wanting some general advice

Hey guys,

I’ve been buying XRP since early this year, when 1 XRP was worth about €2.50. My employment contract was not renewed due to being diagnosed with (a treatable form of) Cancer. The funds I can spend on XRP are very limited right now, but i managed to get up to 400 XRP! Ofcourse the €0,30 / XRP price does make it a bit easier.

Being on a restrictive budget also means looking closely at cheaper alternatives. Normally I’d send €10 or €25 via banktransfer to Coinbase. Then I’d exchange my cash for LTC (Litecoin) which I’d then exchange for XRP (using Changelly) to my Gatehub account.

What are your thoughts on the steps I take? Is there a more cost-efficient path to take?

Also, and this is just paranoia on my end, how trustworthy are online wallets such as Gatehub? What’s keeping a wallet hosting company from taking all the contents and closing down? That’s what happened with MT. GOX right?

Is spending €50 on second-hand Ledger Nano S worth it?

Just out of curiosity, how many XRP are you guys hoarding? Buying at €0,30 and selling in a few years for €10+ is a smart investment, but how much are you actually spending on it?
